We are excited to invite you to our second River Eden Day on Saturday 24th August from 10am – 1pm.
It will be a fun-filled morning with stalls, refreshments and loads of activities for children – and plenty for the adults too.
Clydebuilt Puppets will lead a hand-puppet making workshop.
There will be a Shadow Theatre production created by local artist Lera Grant (booking required) and craft activities with our beautiful River Eden Map.
Learn how to identify Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) on the river.
Buglife Scotland will be there with a sample of the bugs in the river. They will also be doing a practical Riverfly training session in the afternoon for anyone who has recently completed their online training. Contact Us for more information.
Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board will have an aquarium with fish from the river and hopefully a demonstration ‘River In A Box’ to show how rivers work.
Nicky from St Andrews University will be there to show you how to measure water quality.
There will be fly-tying with members of the Eden Angling Association.
Dallas Seawright from Fife Coast & Countryside Trust and Andie Habeshaw of Strathmiglo Eco Group will lead guided walks (booking required).
During the last hour, there will be a presentation from RESP about our habitat surveys of the river and how we can improve it.
Get involved in supporting our river in the face of climate change and other pressures.
Booking required for local river walks and shadow theatre.
